Trend Union introduces the Autumn/Winter 2027–28 Fashion & Textile Trend Forecast, a comprehensive design and marketing tool that explores the cultural shifts shaping the future of fashion, textiles, accessories, color, styling, and consumer behavior.
As societies grapple with political polarization, technological disruption, and the erosion of shared traditions, people are searching for meaning, belonging, ritual, and connection. The forecast explores how this desire is influencing culture and, in turn, fashion.
The central theme for Autumn/Winter 2027–28 is the emergence of Innovated Traditions, new ways of gathering, celebrating, dressing, and expressing identity that draw from ancestral knowledge while embracing contemporary life. Fashion responds through spiritual garments, nostalgic silhouettes, ritual dressing, enduring craftsmanship, and clothing designed to foster confidence, community, and self-awareness.
At a moment of profound transformation, fashion offers not only products, but also possibilities for reconnecting with ourselves and with one another.
